After many years living and working in the Southwest, I’ve recently moved back home to Oak Park with my family.

To celebrate this homecoming and the beginning of a new chapter in my career, I’m presenting Out of the Sun, Into the Blue: New Paintings by Jessamine Narita, a one-day pop-up exhibition at Demiurge, 116 Chicago Ave. in Oak Park, on Saturday, October 10 from 4–9 PM.

The new paintings are inspired by color, landscape, memory, and the transition from the brilliant light of the Southwest to the blues of Chicago. For me, the exhibition feels very much like coming full circle..
